Work begins on Australia’s biggest wind farm

 

Work has begun at the MacIntyre Wind Farm precinct in Warwick, the Queensland government’s $2 billion project that will house the state’s first publicly-owned and operated wind farm and become the state’s second Renewable Energy Zone.

The 1,026 megawatt precinct will have two wind farms – the proposed 103 megawatt Karara Wind Farm to be owned and operated by the state government’s generator CleanCo Queensland and 923 megawatt MacIntyre Wind Farm owned and operated by ACCIONA Energy Australia. Read full article here
