The Federal Government released its first full National Gas Infrastructure Plan (NGIP) and the Future Gas Infrastructure Investment Framework which outlines strategic planned investment in gas supplies for the next 20 years. The NGIP was informed by gas market modelling, analysis and stakeholder engagement. The plan outlines a pathway to ensure supply for households and manufacturers, and identifies five priority actions for east coast gas supply and infrastructure to 2040. The next NGIP report is due to be delivered in late 2022.
