A message from our CEO...

As 2022 draws to a close I am pleased to see events such as tonight back to their former splendour as the FM Industry and the greater world learns to live in a COVID environment.  After modifying the format of this event in the past two years to accommodate covid restrictions, we are thrilled to be hosting a single gala event this year in Melbourne to celebrate excellence in our industry.

Tonight’s Award’s Gala Dinner recognises the recovery within the FM industry and all the great things that we have achieved.  We congratulate all finalists and winners and also acknowledge the contributions made by everyone in the FM industry in 2022 and look forward to another busy and successful year in 2023.

I hope you enjoy your night.

People’s Choice Award

The nominees in this category were drawn from all nominees in the individual categories, Facilities Manager of the Year, and Young Facilities Professional of the Year. The top nominees to reach the industry benchmark in the contribution to industry category have been deemed eligible for the People’s Choice Award.

See below for 2022’s selection:

Harry Biundo is one of Sodexo’s youngest Facilities Managers, taking on responsibilities well beyond his years which include preparing the organisation’s head office for the return to work, the integration of numerous health and wellness programs for employees, and introducing new technology to create energy, cost, and productivity savings for the business. In his six-year career, Harry’s growth mindset, optimism and maturity has seen him rapidly progress into an emerging FM leader.

Jessica Hatton is NSW State Lead for the Charter Hall Industrial portfolio. She holds the responsibilities of a Senior Facilities Manager for 10 assets whilst managing and mentoring a team of 4 people who manage over 60 assets in total. Jessica balances her operational responsibilities and stakeholder management to ensure a safe, compliant and efficient environment. This win-win formula underpins Jessica’s proactive approach to facilities management and her brilliant sets her apart from her peers.

Lewis Newman has been recognised by the Campeyn Group Leadership Team for his outstanding work, passion and commitment. He was promoted to Contract Manager for a Victorian based large disability care organisation where he stabilised the contract quickly and developed a very special professional relationship with client representatives that was based on trust and affirmative action. He has very quickly grown into a dynamic “FM Super Performer” and is now overseeing Yooralla, Able Australia and a number of other smaller clients in the Aged Care and Community Housing sector.
