Join the FMA VIC Committee at the ISSA Cleaning and Hygiene Expo to hear from industry experts that will help educate procurement and FM teams alike on the changing landscape of labour hire legislation. Each state operates labour hire differently, the panel will discuss the risk to businesses not operating within the correct framework and the impacts on the Facilities Management Industry. Guests can enjoy a networking session during a buffet breakfast before making their way to the showroom floor to hear panelists discuss Complying with Labour Legislation.

After hearing from the panel of experts you will have the opportunity to access the ISSA Cleaning and Hygiene Expo to see over 90 exhibitors and their demo products.

After registration you will receive a link to register for the ISSA Cleaning and Hygiene Expo which will need to be completed for entry to breakfast.

Steve Dargavel, Labour Hire Licensing Commissioner
Steve leads the work of Victoria’s Labour Hire Authority (LHA), protecting workers from exploitation and improving the integrity and transparency of the labour hire industry. Since being appointed as Labour Hire Licensing Commissioner in 2018, Steve has established the regulator, brought over 7,000 labour hire providers into the scheme, and driven an extensive program of licensing, compliance and enforcement work. Steve has devoted his career to protecting the rights of vulnerable workers. Having started his career as a youth worker, Steve moved into various roles with the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union (AMWU) including that of State Secretary.



Luke Snell, Work Health and Safety Manager - A.G. Coombs Group Pty Ltd
Luke is a fully qualified, accomplished Work Health and Safety Manager with wide ranging experience both in Australia and the UK. Luke commenced in the industry in 2005 as an important team member working on the Wembley National Stadium Project. Through this project, Luke gained a wide range of skills and experience, focusing on health and safety, quality and people management. Luke’s commitment to the A.G. Coombs’ Work Health and Safety Program including AS/NZS 4801 and SafetyMAP Advanced; further enhances the contribution to the Group.



Dan Trindade, Partner - Clayton Utz
Dan is a Partner and the National Practice Group Leader in Clayton Utz's Workplace Relations, Employment and Safety team. Dan has extensive experience advising and representing clients in the public and private sector on all facets of workplace relations and employment law, with particular emphasis on enterprise bargaining, workplace strategy, industrial disputation and employment litigation. Dan has significant in-depth experience of the commercial and operational realities that impact upon workplace relations and employment issues and provides advice, assistance and representation with an emphasis on the commercial and operational objectives of his clients.



Sharon Pollard
Sharon has accrued over a decade of extensive senior management experience in Facilities Management across both the public and private sectors globally. Sharon has a broad range of “hands-on” international experience, underpinned by qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Project Management, Live Production (Theatre and Events, Lighting) and a MBA. She was elected to the Facility Management Association's Board in 2019 and also supports the Diversity and Inclusion Special Interest Group and the Membership and Culture Policy Advisory Group.
