Building FM: From Theory to Reality

The Facility Management Association of Australia (FMA) are excited to announce their annual conference, Ideaction.24.
Ideaction.24 aims to provide a forum for facilities managers, property managers, space occupiers and other professionals who interact with the FM industry to become informed and to address the recent changes, current issues, compliance and legislative change, public policy and industry developments.
The purpose of the conference is to promote the opportunities, challenges and solutions in facilities management, while providing a strong network within the FM industry.
The theme for Ideaction.24, ‘Building FM: From Theory to Reality’, depicts the importance of strengthening the FM industry through education and professionalism, which will be our overarching focus during the two days of the event. The conference will also be exploring contemporary issues through the following four streams:
* Smart FM For Smart Buildings
* Beyond Sustainability - Embracing the ESG (Environmental/Social/Governance)
* Future FM Talent - Securing Skills
* Aligning FM - Driving Value
At the Ideaction.24 National Conference, guest speakers will be presenting within a range of these key areas addressing strategic and technological innovation, policy and education related topics which will influence the industry for years to come.
Abstract participants will be required to select one abstract theme with the option to select an alternative theme should their abstract submission cover two areas.
The Ideaction.24 program will cover four abstract themes, and presentations will be grouped together within these four themes and run concurrently in each corner of the plenary room. Attendees will use headphones to dial into the session they wish to listen to at the appropriate corner of the room. Abstracts submitted should align with one or more of the below themes and should focus on education and professionalism that drives the industry forward - fitting within the overarching theme "Building FM: From Theory to Reality".
